Mission Statement
The Open Water Rescue Cross Training Initiative will provide a comprehensive and unified emergency rescue "TEAM." This "TEAM" will provide First Responder rescue and initial standard first aid to victims of accidents occurring in offshore waters and/or Inland Bays. This "TEAM" will include certified open water rescue lifeguards and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit. The rescue response will also include assistance from local fire rescue, Coast Guard, and Paramedics.
